Baby and Children’s Bundle

The Baby and Children’s Bundle ensures that children who have experienced domestic abuse, poverty or adversity have the basics that they need to be able to thrive in a safe and comfortable home that meets their needs. Furnishing Futures supports women and children who have escaped domestic violence or are experiencing extreme poverty and are living in empty homes without furniture, which means no bed for children to sleep in at night and nowhere safe to play.

Sleep and play are essential to children’s wellbeing and development. A good night’s sleep means that children are able to focus and learn in school the next day, while a new cot means that a mother can rest easier knowing that her baby has a safe space to sleep in. Providing play mats, toy storage and children’s artwork and soft furnishings helps to make children feel safer and settled, when they have often had to leave all their belongings behind.

How your gift helps

The money from your donation means that we can provide a family we are supporting with a comfortable bed or cot for their child or baby to sleep in; new bedding; black out blinds; storage for their toys and clothes and colourful pictures to decorate their rooms. Your gift will help us to create a safe and nurturing space for a baby or child to sleep and play in, which is part of the process of supporting their recovery.

What happens when you buy this package?

Your money goes directly to the charity where it will help a family in need with the gift you selected. You will receive a digital download certificate representing your donation (and all our thanks!). If you have bought this as a gift for someone else you can forward it on to them.
